Whilst we are unable to celebrate Christmas this year in the true Hanley style we cannot let the term end without a version of our festive traditions.
Friday 11th December - Christmas Jumper Day
Please wear your Christmas jumper or something festive with your uniform, and bring in £1 to support our international project in Tanzania. We are raising money to build a new classroom in Maweni Primary School, and now need to raise the final £3300 to complete construction of the roof before the rainy season, for plastering, painting, and for windows, doors and furniture to be made.
Friday 11th December - 7pm - Virtual Carol Service and Christmas Cracker
In normal years this is an absolute highlight, beginning in St Mary's Church for a candlelit traditional carol service, and continuing in the hall with the most fabulous evening of festive fun. This year we are joining with our friends in Maweni Primary School for a virtual event, organised and compiled jointly by our sixth form Charity and Tanzania committees. We are also aiming to raise money for the Maweni classroom project.
