19th March - no. 1

Dear Parent / Carer,

The Government has announced that all schools will close with effect from the end of Friday 20th March in order to further slow the progress of the Coronavirus outbreak. This means that most children will need to remain at home.

From Monday all communications from school will be made via the school website. The Main Office and Key Stage Offices will not be manned, and SIMS In-touch messages will no longer be routinely used or answered.

Parents should expect a number of announcements via the school website over the next few days:

• Information for Year 11 and Year 13, to be updated following the government’s announcement about exams tomorrow.

• How work will be set

• How students and parents can communicate with the school

• Advice and guidance on mental health support

• Advice and guidance for key workers and parents of vulnerable children

Mrs Cooke
