Severn Trent Visit

Severn Trent

Severn Trent came in to talk to Year 9 about their role and the significance of the way in which we use water.

Water is a finite resource so we must therefore use it wisely and manage it responsibly. We learnt about the whole process our water goes through in a 24-hour cycle. We also learnt what is able to be flushed down the toilet as well as what shouldn’t go down the sink. We saw the good bacteria breaking down and destroying the bad bacteria as well as the separation of solids and liquids. The process even produces electricity and fertilisers for farmers.

This experience was enlightening and highlighted the importance of the awareness of this issue in our community as well as potential career opportunities in the future.
