On the day of your exam

Make sure you are organised, you know when and where the exam is to be held and that you have all the equipment that you need for that particular exam.

[Whilst we have some spare equipment we do not have enough spare calculators, for example, to lend to everyone in a Maths exam.]

Be outside the venue at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the examination.

Year 11 students will normally assemble in or near the Hall, and will be invited into the Exam Hall in small groups.

What if you cannot get into the school

If you are late, try to ring or get a message to the school. It may be possible to make arrangements to still give you the full time.

In the event of extreme weather conditions please check the school website / weather blog. We shall make every effort to run the exam, and it is your best interest to sit it. The exam board will not postpone the exam due to bad weather. If you cannot get in please contact the school.

If you are ill, ring or get a message to the school. A doctor's certificate may be required.

If you are ill and sit the examination, then you may need a doctor's certificate for special consideration. If you feel ill during the exam you must tell an invigilator.

If you are absent for no good reason you will be charged the entry fee for the examination.
