Investigation, problem solving, creativity, practical skills, knowledge of material.

  • Know a couple of design movements, examples of products and main personalities
  • Printing methods
  • Categories and examples of natural, synthetic and regenerated fabrics and fibres; laminated and bonded fabrics
  • Production processes (jobs, mass and batch)
  • Symbols and other labelling (eg. - fairtrade)
  • Sustainability and moral, social and ethical issues
  • Technical processes (eg. - seams, tie-dye, etc.)

AQA Product Design 3555

2 hour exam - 120 marks - 40% (Section 1)

Coursework deadline is the end of the first week back after Easter - 60% (Section 2)
