Safeguarding, Attendance and Wellbeing Manager

We are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding, Attendance and Wellbeing Manager to join us from 1 September 2026. The successful candidate will ensure daily student attendance and punctuality is monitored effectively, complete first day absence calls and follow up where concerns arise, and develop and implement attendance action plans while managing liaison with external agencies. They will act as the lead Deputy DSL and a key point of contact for safeguarding concerns, manage CPOMS and other reporting systems, and follow and promote all safeguarding and child protection procedures while working with external agencies and supporting vulnerable students.

The role also involves providing support to students with welfare or pastoral needs, identifying at risk children and coordinating appropriate interventions, connecting families with suitable external agencies, analysing attendance patterns and trends, maintaining accurate data records, producing regular reports, and working closely with parents, carers, staff and external professionals to support student welfare and attendance and coordinate multi agency support.

Working hours: 37 hours per week, term-only plus 8 Professional Development Days (PDD’s).

Salary: SO2 SCP26-28, £37,280 – £39,152 FTE. Pro-rated to £32,023 - £33,631 per annum (pay award pending).

Start date: 1 September 2026

Learning Support Assistant 

We are seeking to appoint a caring, dedicated Learning Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant) to join our Aspire@Hanley team. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, Deputy SENCO and Senior LSA to implement the whole-school SEND strategy and ensure that Quality First Teaching is delivered to students with SEND.

Working hours: Up to 28 hours and 20 minutes per week (5 days). Minimum hours are 5 hours and 40 minutes (1 day).
Available working hours are 8:35am – 3:15pm, Monday to Friday (includes 2 x 30-minute breaks)

For the successful candidate, we will aim to accommodate these preferences while ensuring the school’s operational needs are fully met.

Salary: TA1, SCP3 £24,796 (pay award pending). £16,308 pro-rated to 28 hours and 20 minutes per week, and term-time only.

Appointment may be made at TA2, SCP5 (£25,583 FTE) depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.

Cover Supervisor

We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise pre-prepared lessons in the absence of a teacher. The successful candidate will maintain a purposeful learning atmosphere and keep students on task, as well as have a passion for helping young people reach their full potential.

The hours are up to 32.5 hours per week. We welcome part-time or full-time applicants; please state your preference in your application. The hours available are Monday-Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm. Term time only plus 8 Professional Development Days.

Salary: TA Scale 3, SCP 7 - 17. £26,403 FTE to £31,022 FTE (pay award pending) dependent on experience. Pro-rated to £19,921 to £23,406 (32.5 hours, term-time only)

Learning Support Assistant (Specialist Support for a Deaf Student)

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a deaf student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will deliver tailored British Sign Language (BSL) support, working closely with teaching staff, the SENDCo and Deputy SENDCo to ensure the student has full access to learning, effective communication, and the opportunity to fully participate in the wider school environment.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the education system and experience supporting young people, particularly those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). They will hold, as a minimum, a Grade 2 British Sign Language (BSL) qualification (essential), as well as Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, or be able to demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills, alongside a willingness to further develop through ongoing training.
Good communication skills with pupils, staff, and parents are essential, along with strong organisational abilities and confidence in using ICT for record keeping and reporting. The successful applicant will be patient, calm, flexible, and resilient, able to manage challenging behaviour sensitively while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to inclusion and equality. They should be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team 

Working hours:

25 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9.15am – 3.15pm (includes 2 breaks totalling 1 hour).
Term-time only plus a proportion of 8 Professional Development Days.

Terms:
This post is fixed term and linked to the support needs of a named pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The contract will be for the duration of the pupil’s placement at the school and will end when the pupil leaves or no longer requires this support.

Salary:
TA2, SCP5-6 £25,583 - £25,989 FTE (pay-award pending). £14,848 - £15,084 pro-rated to 25 hours per week, and term-time only.

Start date: 1 September 2026
