Student Absence, Illness and Accidents

If students are to achieve the most from school their absence should be kept to a minimum. Contact is required from a parent on the first day of absence in the morning, and a note sent upon the student’s return.

Please telephone the dedicated 24 Hr absence line 08448 481620 or use the appropriate email contact on our 'who to contact' page found by clicking here.

Parents requesting absence for reasons other than illness should contact the Headteacher directly via email Office@hanleycastlehs.org.uk.

COVID-19 update (September 2023)

COVID-19 and other respiratory infections like influenza tend to spread more easily in the winter months; please see guidance from the UK Health Security Agency on how we can reduce the spread. If you find that your child has COVID-19, please see the guidance from the NHS here. There is no longer a mandatory self-isolation period.
