Subject overview:

PE at Hanley Castle caters for all abilities and aims to provide a personalised, enjoyable experience for all, promoting a sporting, active lifestyle. Pupils develop knowledge, skills and understanding across a comprehensive curriculum that consists of traditional and non-traditional sporting activities.

Year 7:

Terms 1 & 2: Gymnastics, Dance, Hockey, Health and Fitness, Football, Rugby, Netball, Basketball

Term 3: Rounders or Cricket, Tennis and Athletics

 

Year 8:

Term 1 & 2: Gymnastics, Outdoor and Adventurous Activities, Dance, Hockey, Health and Fitness, Football, Rugby, Netball, Badminton

Term 3: Rounders or Cricket, Tennis and Athletics

 

Key Stage 4:

'Core PE' for all. Groups select/opt for particular sports.
