Service 1: Clerical Check - Deadline 23/09/2026
A clerical re-check is carried out by the exam board. They will check that all parts of your script have been marked, the totalling of the marks and recording of the marks is correct.
Service 2: Review of Marking Deadline 23/09/2026
A post-results review of the original marking to ensure that the agreed mark scheme has been applied correctly. This service includes the clerical checks for service 1. Reviewers will not re-mark the script. Please be aware that marks and subject grades may go down as well as up. They may also stay unchanged.
Priority Service 2P: Priority Review of Marking Deadline 19/08/2026
This is the same as a Service 2 but is processed faster. Reviewers will not re-mark the script. Please be aware that marks and subject grades may go down as well as up. They may also stay unchanged. This service is only available for externally assessed components of GCE specifications where a candidate’s university place is dependent upon the outcome.
It is important that candidates inform the relevant university as soon as they request a priority review of marking. Universities may not be able to keep the place open whilst the review is undertaken.
For the above services there is a cost from the exam board and a £5 admin processing fee. Costs will be available on results day. You must complete the “Post-Results Service Form” and a “review of marking candidate consent form” and return them with payment to Mrs Yapp in the exams office before applications can be submitted to the awarding bodies. These forms are available from the noticeboard outside the exams office or from the Exams Officer

Priority Script to support reviews of marking 19/08/2026 for GCE
If you want a copy of your script you can ask for a priority copy to see if you want to request a review of marking. You may request a review of marking after you have seen a copy of your script. This will not show the examiner’s marks.
Post review of marking copy of script
This is a copy of the marked script post review of marking and must be requested at the same time as a review of marking for either GCE or GCSE. It will show the examiner’s marks.
Access to Scripts Deadline 23/09/2026
This service should be used if you want a copy of your script for to inform future learning. Your teacher may ask if they can request a copy of your scripts to gain information about the marking and standards of the examination. We can only do this with your permission and we would ask you to complete an access to scripts form. Please note that scripts which were marked electronically will be returned as a PDF and emailed to you. Original scripts will be returned to school after 29th September 2026. Please be aware that if you have requested your original script you will NOT then be able to have a review of marking.
For access to scripts requests an “Access to Scripts Candidate Consent Form” must be completed and returned with payment to the Exams Office.
